DGAC is pleased to offer an exciting new addition to our current set of
hazardous materials transportation training courses.
Class 1 is a unique class in that explosive classification is done by DOT and explosives may not be self-classified. There are a number of requirements for Class 1 in the US Hazardous Materials Regulations and international regulations that differ from other classes of dangerous goods including classification, shipping papers, marking, labeling, and placarding. In addition, other considerations come into play with explosives: increased financial responsibility, security, highway routing, and carrier permits. DGAC can tailor an in-house course to your needs or provide a general Class 1 training course covering the following areas:
- Classification & Approval
- Packing & Packaging
- Marking, Labeling & Placarding
- Documentation
- Handling
- Emergency Response
Contact DGAC for further information or to schedule an in-house training course.
