SAFETY CONSULTANT – HAZ MAT

Position available with Maricopa County Risk Management, Phoenix, Arizona.

Salary: $49,504 - $58,635 Annually

Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Industrial Management or Engineering, Public Administration, Business or related field and four years of experience in training and coordinating the OSHA 1910 General Industry and OSHA 1926 Construction Industry Standards. Must have experience with EPA, DOT, OSHA, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regulations and standards. Must be proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook. Preference may be given to those with CSP, CSM or equivalent, OSHA 500 or 501 Training the Trainer course, 40 Hr HAZWOPPER Certification (1910.120), and DOT HM 181 Certification. An equivalent combination of education or job-related experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis. Effective communication skills required. Must have the ability to clearly and directly communicate both orally and in writing. NOTE: Valid Arizona Driver's License is required.
